Seasick Mama is a conceptual apparel company using t-shirts as the functioning blank canvas. Seasick Mama spearheaded the “Canvas to Clothing” project, working directly with artists to put their original work on t-shirts as a more affordable way for followers to purchase their art. The Canvas to Clothin Project culminated in an exhibit at the 303Grand Gallery. Most recently, Seasick Mama printed a limited edition t-shirt collection for Carlos Valencia, a Manhattan based illustrator, which was featured in Interview Magazine.
Presently, Seasick Mama has introduced the “Goodbye Imagination” collection, a bold, sexy, but also amusing series of bras and corsets printed on the front of tees that have popped-up all over Brooklyn. Also, the newest “Young + Broke” collection has been highly successful as it lionizes our generation in the contemporary recession. Seasick Mama is continuously working with artists, supporting events, and celebrating today’s fashion world. Check out the website for the latest surprises.
